About Us
Spoonhower Orthodontics, led by Dr. Christopher Spoonhower, has been a pillar in the Akron–Uniontown area for over 18 years. Our practice is proudly built on core values like compassion, excellence, fun, teamwork, and gratitude. Located in a modern, welcoming facility, we offer everything from braces and clear aligners to early and adult treatment, with a patientcentered culture that keeps smiles—and spirits—bright

Why Join Our Team?

  • Purpose-Driven Culture: We maintain a fun, caring environment with contests, treat days, yard games, patient rewards, and “colors of the month” that delight and motivate both patients and staff .
  • Clinical Excellence & Professional Growth: Dr. Spoonhower, a Case Western first-in-class graduate with AAO and OCDS honors, leads an inclusive study club network—ensuring that our clinical skills stay cutting edge .
  • Community-Centered Practice: We value giving back—supporting local charities and schools, and participating in community events across Green and Uniontown

You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing comprehensive orthodontic treatment (braces, clear aligners, early & adult care) in a fulltime clinical role.
  • Building trusting, engaging relationships with patients and families—helping them navigate from initial consultation through retention.
  • Participating in treatment planning, case consultations, and leveraging our practice-wide rewards and patient-referral systems.
  • Collaborating with Team Spoon’s coordinators and assistants to create a seamless, positive patient experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • DDS/DMD plus orthodontic specialty training (completed or in final stages); Ohio dental license (or eligibility).
  • A detail-oriented clinician who is upbeat, empathetic, and enthusiastic about patient care.
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and staying current with orthodontic advancements.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills—someone who thrives in a culture of kindness, positivity, and teamwork.
  • Alignment with our core values: create a fun environment, show compassion, strive for excellence, and share gratitude

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive salary with production bonuses and fulltime stability.
  • Work-life balance with flexible scheduling.
  • Collaborative, supportive practice culture infused with creativity.
  • Opportunities for continuing education, mentorship, and career development.
  • Enjoy community involvement and a practice that truly values smiles—on and off the patient chair.
