SCI Summary: SCI supports people with disabilities, behavioral challenges, medically complex needs, transitioning youth, the elderly, and other populations using Maryland Department of Health’s Targeted Case Management and Supports Planning work models.
Position Summary: The Strategy Analyst is a core contributor to the Strategy Center of Excellence, providing analysis, decision support, and reports and presentations for executive audiences. The role builds and maintains datasets, produces dashboards and briefs, keeps KPIs current and visible, organizes proposed initiatives into decision-ready materials, and creates and presents reports using information from Centers of Excellence and project leads.

Essential Duties:
- Support strategic planning and growth and diversification with core analysis and decision support.
- Build and maintain datasets used for strategic plan tracking and reporting.
- Develop dashboards and reports; draft and present executive-facing summaries and presentation that translate data into clear insights.
- Keep KPIs current and visible across organizational goals and objectives.
- Structure inputs from Centers of Excellence and project leads and ensure completeness and clarity.
- Run structured external scans of market, policy, payer, and competitor signals and summarize implications for planning.
- Build simple sizing, cost, risk, and capacity worksheets to frame options and tradeoffs.
- Synthesize inputs into concise options and recommended next steps, noting assumptions and data gaps.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and data-quality issues early; track follow-ups and escalate as needed.
- Execute to the Strategy Center reporting calendar, timelines, and standards.
- Recommend improvements to working templates for scans, briefs, and dashboards; implement updates as assigned.
- Present neutral, evidence-based analysis and recommendations.Contribute to a culture of accountability, learning, and continuous improvement in the execution of strategic priorities.

Education Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preferred fields include business, public administration, data analytics, health administration, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in a related field is a plus, but not required.
- Relevant certificates or coursework in analytics or BI are a plus, but not required.
Experience Required:
- 5+ years’ professional experience in nonprofit, business, public sector, or related sector.
- 2+ years in strategy, analytics, program management, operations, or consulting; 3+ years preferred; relevant administrative supervision that included project coordination, KPI reporting, and/or process improvement counts toward this requirement.
- Experience drafting and presenting summaries for executive audiences.
- Data analysis experience with Excel or BI tool; ability to learn new tools quickly.

Physical Demands: Generally, presents standard office environment. Must be able to remain in a stationary position >95% of the time. Continually operates a computer, keyboard and mouse, and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, printer, and mobile Smartphone device. Constantly positions self to comfortably maintain computer equipment. May occasionally be required to move about in an office setting or position office equipment weighing between 10-25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. The person in this position frequently communicates with other people. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
IT Roles must be able to position self to maintain computers and equipment, including under desks and in server room(s). Frequently moves equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
