Daily Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and dispense inpatient medications accurately in accordance with physician orders

• Provide inpatient pharmacy services in an acute care hospital setting.

• Evaluate prescriptions for appropriateness, potential interactions, and correct dosing

• Provide clinical support and medication counseling to healthcare staff and patients

• Support patient care in a Trauma Level II environment.

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other clinicians to ensure optimal pharmacotherapy

• Monitor and adjust medication regimens based on patient progress and lab results

• Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations, hospital standards, and accreditation requirements

• Document all pharmacy interventions and activities within hospital EMR systems

Required Skills/Licenses/Certifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution

• Active Texas Pharmacist License (Required)

• BLS Certification (Required)

• Trauma level II hospital experience required

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient or hospital pharmacy experience

• Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic or similar preferred)

• Strong knowledge of hospital formulary, drug therapies, and sterile compounding procedures
