Job Description
Client Service Representative
Our hospital is an AAHA accredited small animal veterinary facility currently located in the South Reno area and we are having a growth spurt!
We are looking for an experienced CSR to join our team! We believe in hiring for the right fit and building a team that works well together to provide gold standard care to our patients. We push for these standards while also providing that “small town” environment where clients feel like family and can make themselves at home. We focus not just on our patient care, but building a lasting relationship with clients as well.
At our hospital, our CSR's play a vital role in customer relations. They are the face of our practice and the first to interact with our clientele. We are committed to forming a strong bond with our clients as soon as they become a part of our fuzzy/scaley/feathered family.
CSR's will also train with the rest of the staff during our "Staff Lab" meetings in general animal restraint, assessing vitals like heart rate, blood pressure, temperature, and respiratory rate, running laboratory diagnostics, and more! We give everybody the opportunity to learn any and all of the skills they desire! Cross-training as a veterinary assistant is also an option and strongly encouraged. Experience of course is a plus!
We try to keep our days fast-paced, but organized, and strive for the utmost in quality of care!

Greet clients and their pets, ensure a positive and welcoming experience, and provide assistance and information as needed.

Record Keeping:
Prepare, maintain, and update client and patient files, including new client information and medical histories, using practice management software.
Financial Transactions:
Process payments, create invoices, and handle other financial record-keeping tasks accurately.
Hospitality & Logistics:
Keep the waiting area and front desk area clean, organized, and welcoming.
Client Education:
Educate clients on pet health, preventative care, and available products and services offered at the practice.
Essential Skills:
Customer Service:
Strong communication skills and the ability to provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone.
Computer Proficiency:
Competence with practice management software and general computer skills, including word processing and email.
Organization & Multitasking:
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage phone lines efficiently, and maintain organized records.
Compassion & Empathy:
The ability to interact compassionately with clients and pets, especially during stressful or emotional situations.
Teamwork:
A willingness to collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
Benefits are based on average wages and level of experience, but are negotiable:

Schedule is negotiable, but would include a “4, 10s” type schedule initially Monday-Friday
Potential for 1-2 Saturdays per month, but when this occurs, benefits would be renegotiated as work-life balance is truly important, especially in this field
Starting wage is $22-22 per hour, but can be negotiable depending on experience level and current pay
