Surgical Dental Assistant

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team In Lake Wakes Dental Group. This position plays a vital role in supporting oral surgery procedures and ensuring a high standard of patient care. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures (e.g., extractions, implants All-on X, biopsies)

• Prepare and sterilize instruments and surgical areas

• Maintain accurate patient records and charting

• Monitor and reassure patients before, during, and after procedures

• Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions

• Ensure compliance with infection control and OSHA protocols

• Manage surgical inventory and order supplies as needed

Skills & Qualifications:

• Dental Assistant certification required 

• Surgical or oral surgery assisting experience strongly preferred

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Self-motivated with strong initiative

• Outgoing and patient-focused demeanor

• Familiarity with dental software (Open Dental is a plus)

• Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset

• Goal- and results-driven

• Availability to work Monday–Saturday
