Clinical Technician 1 Surgical Orthopedic Unit with Inova Fair Oaks Hospital

Full-time NIGHT Shift: Days vary, 7- 7 | Rotating Weekends & Holidays |

Three (3), day shift 12-hr shifts per week | Rotating Weekends & Holidays.

The Surgical Orthopedic Unit (5NEW) with renowned Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is seeking a dedicated and loyal Clinical Technician to join the team in a Full-time capacity!

Clinical Technician Job Responsibilities (to include but not limited to)

  • Provides direct care to patients under direct supervision of registered nurse.
    • ADLs
    • Blood Draws
    • IV Insertion
    • Catheter / Foley insertion
  • Effectively communicates with team members, patients, and visitors.
  • Maintains professionalism and integrity throughout the healthcare system.

Requirements :

  • Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification : Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association within 90 days of hire
  • Special Skills : Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift minimum of 35lbs pounds
  • Training: Must be available for six (6) weeks of paid training, consisting of,
    • Virtual modules
    • Classroom-style sessions: 8AM 4:30PM
    • On-unit training with department hired into (times TBD)
  • Experience : Prior experience in healthcare, preferred.
