Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–7:00pm; alternating Saturdays, 7:30am–12:30pm

Four Legs Animal Hospital is a full-service small animal veterinary practice serving Davidsonville, Annapolis, Edgewater, and Crofton since 2004. We provide comprehensive veterinary services for dogs and cats including preventive care, pet dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, and wellness exams. Our team takes a collaborative approach to care, fostering a warm, respectful environment for pets, clients, and staff alike.

What You'll Do as a Veterinary Technician

As part of our medical support team, you’ll play a hands-on role in providing high-quality veterinary care for our patients and outstanding service to their owners. Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with physical exams, surgical prep, dental cleanings, and routine wellness care
• Administering vaccines, medications, and IV fluids
• Monitoring anesthesia and managing post-operative recovery
• Performing laboratory testing including blood draws, urinalysis, and diagnostic imaging (X-rays)
• Providing compassionate animal restraint, grooming assistance (nails, bathing), and husbandry
• Maintaining clean, sterile surgical and exam areas
• Educating pet owners on nutrition, wellness, and post-care instructions
• Accurately documenting patient records using veterinary software (ezyVet)
• Supporting front desk operations and client communications as needed

Qualifications

• Veterinary Technician License or Certification (CVT, LVT, RVT) strongly preferred
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary hospital, animal clinic, or pet care setting
• Excellent skills in small animal handling, restraint, and medical procedures
• Familiarity with veterinary terminology, diagnostic equipment, and safety protocols
• Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
