Equipment Purchasing Manager

Responsibilities:

• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors to secure high-quality parts at competitive pricing
• Manage purchase orders, sales orders, returns, and core tracking with accuracy
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support ongoing maintenance and repair needs
• Coordinate with technicians and operations teams to ensure timely parts availability
• Monitor market trends, pricing, and new product offerings to support informed purchasing decisions
• Supervise and develop warehouse and parts staff to ensure efficient daily operations
• Track expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
• Provide timely updates on parts availability and delivery timelines to internal teams

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Experience with construction equipment parts, specifications, and terminology
• At least 1 year of experience using accounting or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Viewpoint)
• Background in procurement, parts management, or inventory control within construction, heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial environments preferred
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills
