Fabrication Shop Foreman

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of fabrication staff, including welders, laser operators, plasma cutters, press brake operators, and robotic welders.
• Plan, assign, and prioritize work to ensure production schedules and delivery deadlines are met.
• Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications to ensure precise fabrication.
• Monitor workmanship and quality to ensure compliance with customer requirements and company standards.
• Estimate labor requirements and review daily time tracking for accuracy and efficiency.
• Lead employee development by providing training, assigning tasks, delivering performance feedback, and administering discipline in alignment with company policies.
• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
• Collaborate with Estimating, Engineering, Account Specialists, and Sales teams to address and resolve production challenges.
• Track production progress and provide regular updates to the Operations Manager.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Support fabrication activities with hands-on involvement as needed.

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication or metal manufacturing.
• Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Working knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Stick), as well as cutting, forming, and general fabrication techniques.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Authorized to work legally in the United States.
