Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while working in a skilled nursing facility in Santa Barbara, CA.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Masters, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
  • Active California Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
  • Experience in skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings required. Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in geriatrics, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred.
  • Demonstrated competence with common SNF documentation systems and restorative nursing programs.
  • Ability to provide adaptive equipment recommendations and home safety evaluations within the SNF setting.
  • Client requires availability for a 35-hour work week and adherence to center scheduling and policies. (Client-specific requirement.)
  • Preferred: experience with restorative therapy programs, fall risk assessment tools, and orthotic/hand therapy interventions.

  • Facility Type: Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Shift Name: Days.
  • Shift Details: Days 0800-1630.
  • Work Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
  • Guaranteed Hours (Client-specific): 35 hours per week.
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks.
