Job Description


Salary: $2,609.06 - $2,809.06 /wk

Become a vital part of a Carbondale, IL hospital as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will follow physician scanning instructions, administer contrast agents, and operate CT imaging equipment to produce diagnostic studies for patient care.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2 years CT technologist experience.
  • Completion of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in CT or RT(R) with CT modality.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Experience working in an acute care hospital imaging department or similar high-acuity environment. (Client-specific requirement.)
  • Experience performing contrast-enhanced CT studies and IV contrast administration. (Client-specific requirement.)
  • Familiarity with 64-slice or higher CT scanners and PACS workflow preferred. (Preferred.)

Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift name: Days.
  • Shift pattern: 12-hour shifts.
  • Shift start times / pattern: Week 1 - Mon/Tue/Wed 09:30-22:00; Week 2 - Mon/Tue/Sun 09:30-22:00.
  • On-call: No.
  • Length of assignment: 13 weeks.
  • Quantity needed: 1 CT Technologist.
  • Floating: Candidate may be expected to work across department units within the hospital as needed.

Location Highlights

Carbondale, IL offers access to outdoor recreation and cultural amenities within short drives. Southern Illinois University-Carbondale campus and downtown entertainment are within the city center, approximately 5-10 minutes from most hospitals. Giant City State Park is about 12 miles southeast, featuring sandstone bluffs and 30 miles of hiking trails for outdoor activity. Lake of Egypt is roughly 20 minutes by car and provides boating and fishing opportunities. The area supports a suburban-to-small-city lifestyle with local farmers markets, festival events on the university calendar, and regional transit connections via Interstate 57 for access to St. Louis (about 90 miles) and southern Illinois communities.
