Mammography Tech Travel Job

Salary: $1,714.75 - $1,914.75 /wk

Join our team as an experienced Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment in Austin, TX. In this role, you will perform specialized breast imaging examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease at a hospital setting.

Minimum Requirements:

• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology. Completion of mammography-specific ARRT (M) credential preferred.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Texas Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification Program (required prior to hire).
• Completion of a federally approved 40-hour mammography training course within 90 days of hire and completion of 25 supervised mammography studies to meet Texas Department of State Health Services requirements.
• BLS Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
• Minimum 2 years of mammography technologist experience preferred.
• Experience operating mammography equipment, performing positioning, selecting technical parameters, evaluating image quality, and submitting studies to PACS.
• Ability to follow radiation safety procedures, troubleshoot equipment issues, and maintain a clean, orderly department.
• Ability to work independently, exercise critical thinking, and perform under occasional stressful conditions.

About the Role

You will operate mammography equipment, prepare and position patients, select appropriate technical parameters, and ensure high-quality images are submitted to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data. You will follow radiation safety guidelines, report equipment issues, and assist in maintaining department orderliness. You will educate patients on the role of routine mammography in breast health.
