This 24/7 crisis stabilization unit provides specialized psychiatric care for adults requiring immediate mental health intervention in a structured hospital environment. The facility maintains established protocols for managing patients with suicidal ideation, acute psychosis, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and substance withdrawal conditions. The organization utilizes modern documentation systems and evidence-based treatment approaches to ensure effective psychiatric care delivery with support from licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, therapists, and medical directors.

This region features diverse attractions including the Georgia Aquarium, the historic Savannah district with guided ghost tours, and numerous nature and wildlife areas for outdoor enthusiasts. The mountainous northeastern area offers destinations such as Amicalola Falls State Park, Brasstown Bald Mountain, and Vogel State Park, along with local wineries including Chateau Elan and Wolf Mountain Vineyards. The psychiatric nurse practitioner will conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and assessments for patients in crisis requiring acute mental health treatment. Clinical duties include providing medication management with initiation and adjustment of psychotropic medications, managing detox protocols for alcohol, opioids, and benzodiazepines, and developing individualized treatment plans. The clinician will work part-time day shifts totaling 24 hours per week, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team including psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and case managers while participating in treatment planning and discharge coordination to ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation for the 18-bed census with an average length of stay of 3-7 days.
