About the Role
We are a growing mechanical contractor specializing in industrial and heavy commercial HVAC projects. We already have strong Project Managers and office support in place, so we’re looking for experienced, hands-on installers/technicians who love working in the field and getting the job done right. This is a boots-on-the-ground position ability to perform the essential physical demands of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, and working in various conditions. CDMtek performs a variety of construction services where each project and even daily tasks will differ in a wide variety of skillsets, offering the oppurtunity to learn new skillsets and grow while enhancing job satisfaction. You will be installing, rigging, and construction large-scale HVAC systems alongside very skilled and capable professionals. We need capable people who can be managed effectively but don’t need to manage others. What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing chillers, boilers, large air handlers, pumps, VFDs, and hydronic systems
- Installing ductwork
- Piping threaded, grooved, welded, brazed,
- Associated utilities, ancillary required construction in general trades
- Working on both new construction and retrofit/upgrade projects
- Rigging and setting heavy equipment
- Troubleshooting and solving problems as they arise in the field
- Helping keep projects on schedule alongside our PMs
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of hands-on installation experience in heavy commercial/industrial HVAC
- Skills in metal air side ducting, pipefitting, brazing, rigging, and layout
- Ability to read and work from mechanical drawings
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and pride in quality work
- Ability to work well with a team, take direction and get the job done
- Safety conscious, observing safety and jobsie rules
- Manlift, scissor, boom, fork expericence
