Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage planned maintenance schedules while overseeing timely and accurate completion of all assigned work
  • Improve site operational performance through effective project delivery, reduced downtime, increased equipment reliability, and implementation of continuous improvement plans
  • Establish, track, and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) to support departmental goals
  • Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and requirements
  • Lead the team using technical best practices while developing and maintaining standard policies and procedures
  • Promote and manage continuous improvement initiatives using modern manufacturing principles by identifying gaps and recommending enhancements to training, processes, and work practices
  • Schedule, train, supervise, and motivate maintenance department personnel
  • Coordinate and oversee work completed by external contractors and vendors
  • Ensure efficient repair planning and review repair estimates to control costs
  • Prioritize maintenance and repair activities for company equipment and critical parts
  • Control, monitor, and manage maintenance inventory
  • Implement and enforce department safety policies and procedures
  • Oversee facility operations and manage facility-related projects
  • Direct maintenance leadership and team activities to ensure departmental priorities are achieved
  • Develop, implement, and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs
  • Monitor and manage machine uptime and downtime performance
  • Ensure timely procurement and availability of equipment needed to support production schedules
  • Support compliance efforts related to GMP and SQF audits
  • Develop, manage, and control the maintenance department budget

Required Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years' experience in maintenance management role.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications and schematics.
  • Effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
