Experience:
12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.
Preferred 12 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
Experience with Cerner is preferred from any number of months.
Trauma Level 2 experience is required from any number of months
Requirements:
Candidates must have a Alabama license or compact license (required after submission).
Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.
6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB and no current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Baptist Health UAB.

You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility.
Required Skills/Experience: - Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? Yes, but must be interventional Cath Lab experience, not just diagnostic Cath Lab. - Experience with above required patients- Groin site management - techs will usually pull sheaths but RNs might and need to be ok with site management), radial band management (VascBand), moderate sedation, able to titrate drips, knowledge of emergency drugs (will have drug card for badge for easy referral), able to use defib/pacer efficiently, recognizing rhythm change, know when and what anticoagulant to administer- RN does not need vent experience but needs to be comfortable with addressing vent alarms (i.e. is it a critical alarm or an error alarm that does not need to be addressed)- If here for more than 1 assignment, will be trained to monitor.
Special Requests: Approval of RTO to go through manager.
Shift & Scheduling: Weekend rotation / call schedule: On call every 4th weekend (Friday EOS through Monday at 0630), weekdays include 1 call night per week and possibly 1 late shift per week, weekday call runs from EOS until 0630 the following morning, late shift stays until cases are complete and is not on call afterward, late shift and call shift are not worked concurrently. Will not be on call prior to your day off. Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per contract. 6:30 A
Floating Requirements: Possibility of floating to IR or Cardiovascular Recovery (CVR), but prior experience with that not required.
