Salary: $2,499.24 - $2,699.24 /wk

What You'll Need:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program

• AART (ARRT) Certification in Radiation Therapy

• Valid Arizona Radiation Therapy license, if required by state regulation

• BLS certification required

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Radiation Therapist. Experience in a hospital radiation oncology department or academic medical center preferred.

• Experience operating linear accelerators, CT-simulation, and treatment planning systems required. Familiarity with image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) and immobilization devices preferred.

• Ability to perform equipment quality control measurements and troubleshoot operational issues.

• Must meet facility-specific credentialing such as Arizona Department of Public Safety fingerprint clearance when assigned to programs that require it.

Minimum Qualifications (Client Specific)

• ARRT Radiation Therapy national certification required.

• State licensure as a Radiation Therapist if applicable in Arizona.

• BLS certification required.

• Demonstrated competence with simulation, treatment delivery, and documentation per departmental protocols.

• Experience with radiation safety, ALARA principles, and handling of radioactive materials as applicable.

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, and patient transfers.

• Availability to work varied schedules as required by department operations. (Preferred qualifications: prior experience at a tertiary care or academic hospital.)

Assignment Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform prescribed radiation therapy treatments by following and verifying provider orders.

• Operate treatment and treatment planning equipment, including simulation and linear accelerators.

• Prepare accurate treatment documentation, verify dosages, and maintain patient records.

• Educate patients and families about procedures and treatments.

• Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements and report issues.

• Adhere to radiation safety policies, including safe receipt, storage, and disposal of radioactive materials.
