Job Description
Salary: $3,331.26 - $3,531.26 /wk
Join our skilled team of imaging professionals as an Interventional Radiology Technologist and perform invasive diagnostic and interventional procedures. You will operate imaging equipment, ensure quality assurance of imaging processes, and monitor patients during procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- ARRT RT(R) certification required.
- Current Wisconsin state radiologic technologist license required.
- BLS certification required.
- Interventional Radiology (IR) technologist experience. Client will accept candidates with 1 year IR experience; first-time travelers accepted with prior IR experience.
- Experience scrubbing and panning simultaneously in IR procedures, including general IR procedures such as kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty, central lines/PICCs/ports, fistulograms, IVC filters, nephrostomy tubes, peripheral interventions, coil embolization, thoracentesis/paracentesis, and CT-guided IR procedures.
- Experience with Siemens and GE angiography equipment preferred.
- Familiarity with MedRad injectors and PACS (Change Healthcare) preferred.
- Ability to orient with a preceptor for 1-2 weeks and complete competency check-offs.
- Preferred: experience with neuro-interventional procedures (DSA, embolization) and coding/charging for IR procedures.

- Shift Details: Days 0800-2000.
- Standard Hours Per Week: 40.
- Duration: 13 week travel assignment.
- Schedule: Department staffed 24/7; orientation with a preceptor for 1-2 weeks.
- Floating: No floating required.

Additional Information
Required equipment familiarity includes Siemens and GE angiography systems, MedRad injectors, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and Change Healthcare PACS. The department manages approximately 40-50 patients per day and includes two techs per exam room with additional support staff such as unit coordinators, lead techs, respiratory therapy, hospitalists, and transport staff available 24/7. Covid vaccination required per facility policy.
