Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Current certification from a program accredited by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- BLS Certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an OB/Surgical Technologist, including scrub and C-section experience. (Client requires 1 year OB Surg Tech experience.)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in Labor & Delivery or related OB clinical environment for RN-level roles where applicable. (Client indicates 2 years L&D RN experience required for RN positions.)
- Experience in a Level 1 Trauma, teaching hospital, or high-acuity setting preferred.
- Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
- Ability to perform unit duties including table set-up for vaginal deliveries, stocking the unit, and assisting in PACU and triage areas.
- Required certifications for operating in this environment: BLS and CST for Surgical Technologist candidates. RN candidates must have BLS, ACLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring certification where applicable. Travelers will be required to demonstrate EKG competency as part of compliance.
- Preferred: prior experience in hospitals with multiple ORs, PACU and OB unit operations.
