Join the Jackson HealthPros team as an Ultrasound Technologist (Diagnostic Medical Sonographer). You will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images used by physicians to evaluate and treat medical conditions. This role supports patient care across a hospital-based diagnostic imaging department and contributes to quality improvement activities and patient safety initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiologic Technology preferred.
• Must be registered, or eligible to become registered, by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography. Registration must be obtained within 6 months of hire if initially eligible.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience using Cerner and PACS for image review and documentation preferred.
• Ability to perform general ultrasound exams and adapt imaging procedures using professional judgment.
• Ability to lift and move patients and equipment per the position's physical demands (exert up to 50 lbs occasionally). Reasonable accommodations will be considered.

Public transit options are limited; personal vehicle commuting is typical. Role Summary and Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations and obtain quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
• Collect pertinent clinical information and explain procedures to patients and family members in clear terms.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and deliver patient-centered care without bias.
• Use professional judgment to adapt imaging techniques for diagnostic quality.
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary care teams and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous hospital-based ultrasound experience.
• Experience with multiple ultrasound modalities (abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular) preferred.
• Additional language skills preferred.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Potential exposure to infectious materials, chemicals, and occasional aggressive patient interactions.
• Moderate to occasionally loud noise levels in clinical areas.
• Physical requirements include repetitive motions, kneeling, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
