Our client is a hospital seeking an Emergency Veterinarian to join their emergency and referral facility providing care for companion animals. The hospital delivers high-level emergency and critical care services while supporting veterinarians with advanced diagnostics, specialty collaboration, and a highly skilled clinical team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced emergency veterinarian looking to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with diverse and challenging cases.

Working Hours / Rota
The position offers full-time or part-time flexibility, with relief opportunities available. The hospital operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, providing continuous emergency care coverage.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Emergency Veterinarian will manage a wide range of urgent and critical cases within a busy emergency and referral hospital. Responsibilities include triaging and stabilizing emergency patients, diagnosing and treating acute medical conditions, performing emergency procedures, and coordinating care with specialty services when required. The role also involves utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to support clinical decision-making, maintaining accurate medical records, and communicating clearly with pet owners during urgent situations. This position is open to experienced veterinarians.

Practice Details
The hospital provides advanced emergency and referral care supported by modern diagnostic and treatment technology. Equipment and capabilities include CT scans, digital radiology, diagnostic imaging, EKG, endoscopy, OFA X-ray capability, PennHIP evaluations, ultrasound, in-house laboratory services, in-house pharmacy, intensive care units, oxygen and transfusion therapy, isolation wards, and advanced anesthesia using sevoflurane. Services offered include Advanced Care, Diagnostic Imaging, Preventive Care, Primary Care, Dental Care, Full Diagnostics, Soft Tissue Surgery, Routine Surgeries, Intensive Care, Pain Management, Hospitalization, and Emergency Medicine.

Team
The hospital is supported by 3 DVMs and a great tenured support team, including experienced emergency technicians and nursing staff who provide strong clinical support during every shift.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
