Construction Manager

Couey’s CATV is seeking a local Construction Manager to lead and oversee underground fiber optic and directional drilling operations. This role is responsible for managing multiple projects, coordinating teams, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of underground fiber optic and directional drilling projects
• Manage field supervisors, crews, and subcontractors across multiple job sites
• Plan and coordinate project schedules, resources, and timelines
• Ensure all permits, locates, and utility clearances are obtained prior to construction
• Monitor project progress, production, and quality of work
• Communicate with project managers, clients, utility companies, and internal teams
• Track budgets, control costs, and ensure efficient use of labor and materials
• Review and approve daily reports, production logs, and project documentation
• Identify and resolve project issues, delays, or conflicts
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and safety expectations are met
• Support business growth by assisting with planning, forecasting, and resource allocation

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a DOT physical
• Must pass pre-employment and ongoing drug screenings
• Valid driver’s license 
• Experience in underground fiber optic construction and directional drilling required
• Knowledge of construction practices, utility locates, and safety regulations
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, prints, and maps
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
• Ability to work outdoors and travel between job sites as needed
