Responsibilities

  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options tailored to their needs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and office protocols.
  • Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines for medical imaging while adhering to safety standards.
  • Follow strict infection control procedures using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination.
  • Collaborate with dentists and other team members to ensure seamless patient care delivery within general dentistry practices.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as a Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or regional licensing boards.
  • Proven experience working in a dental clinic or dental office environment.
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry.
  • Familiarity with infection control standards, sterilization procedures, and aseptic techniques.
  • Ability to perform chairside assisting duties efficiently within a four-handed dentistry setup.
