Position Summary

Since 1969, our factory has been a cornerstone just eight miles west of Harrisburg. Situated at a transportation crossroads, it offers quick access to major cities like Baltimore, Boston, and New York. As one of the largest manufacturers in the area, we produce a wide range of dry pet food, including beloved brands like Puppy Chow®, Pro Plan®, and Friskies®. Beyond our work, we support local animal shelters, enriching the lives of pets everywhere. We're also doing our part to care for the environment we share, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal. As a Quality Factory Technician, you'll be responsible for testing samples of our finished products and communicating test results with the appropriate departments. Work collaboratively with Production, Maintenance, and Product Safety teams to support quality throughout our processes. Seize this opportunity to cross-train and gain experience in multiple areas across QA to strengthen your skill set. Quality and safety are the promises we make on every bag, container, tub, and can - and we continue to deliver on that promise.

  • Analyze finished product using various test methods, including wet chemistry.
  • Perform sensory evaluations of in process and finished product.
  • Maintain instrument calibrations.
  • Sample and test incoming ingredients including, but are not limited to, physical testing and testing rail cars, trucks, bins, sacks, and totes.
  • Cover other positions in the event of loss of staff or vacations to provide relief.

This is a weekend back shift position Sat/Sun 12am-12pm, Mon/Tues 12am-8am. Must be open to working nights and weekends.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

Other

  • 1+ years of experience in quality, food manufacturing, lab or related environment preferred

The approximate pay range for this position is $45,000.00 - $59,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location.
