2. Mechanical Engineer Product Design & Systems (High-Tech / Networking)
Role Summary
The Mechanical Engineer will design and develop mechanical systems and enclosures for high-performance networking and hardware products. This role focuses on thermal design, structural integrity, manufacturability, and system integration , ensuring products meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components, enclosures, and assemblies for electronic systems.
  • Perform thermal analysis and cooling design (airflow, heat sinks, liquid cooling if applicable).
  • Conduct structural analysis, tolerance stack-ups, and material selection .
  • Collaborate with electrical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure system-level integration.
  • Create and review 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using tools like SolidWorks or Creo.
  • Support prototyping, testing, and validation , including environmental and reliability testing.
  • Drive DFM/DFA improvements to optimize cost, quality, and manufacturability.
  • Work with suppliers and contract manufacturers to support production ramp and issue resolution .
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field .
  • 38+ years of experience in mechanical design for electronics or hardware systems .
  • Strong proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or equivalent).
  • Experience with thermal design and analysis .
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, injection molding, machining).
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in networking hardware, data center systems, or consumer electronics .
  • Familiarity with thermal simulation tools (ANSYS, FloTHERM, Icepak).
  • Experience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers .
  • Knowledge of shock, vibration, and environmental testing standards .
