Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company. This company is renowned for providing over 750 high-quality generic, specialty, and branded pharmaceutical products used by hospitals, physicians, and pharmacists across North America, the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze equipment and process capacity constraints to provide technical solutions that increase capacity, reduce equipment downtime, and improve efficiencies and yield.
  • Qualify and implement new manufacturing lines, overseeing day-to-day support as the subject matter expert for automated equipment.
  • Monitor processes and calculate data for production equipment to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Learn from senior engineers and oversee equipment troubleshooting, eventually becoming the subject matter expert for the plant's equipment.
  • Manage full projects from qualification to purchase, implementation, and optimization.
  • Interact with multiple stakeholders, including process engineers, technology managers, and capital engineers.
  • Travel approximately once per month in the initial months to vendors, primarily within the US, to test machinery being purchased.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 2-7+ years of experience in automation and robotics, with an understanding of pick-and-place automation.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment, production processes, and capital projects.
  • Project management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Pharmaceutical industry exposure is preferred but not required.
  • Strong communication skills.

Work Environment

The work environment is a clean, state-of-the-art facility with a mix of office space, labs, and manufacturing areas. Employees enjoy flexibility around work hours, with a minimum of 40 hours expected per week and core hours from 9am to 3pm. There is flexibility around start and end times as long as core hours are covered. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $33.37 - $50.48/hr.
