Salary: $1,877.96 - $2,077.96 /wk
Join the Jackson HealthPros team as an Ultrasound Technologist (also known as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer) where you will operate specialized ultrasound equipment to produce diagnostic images used by physicians to diagnose and treat medical conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- National certification in specialty from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting with exposure to general, vascular, and OB-GYN sonography. (Client requires acute care experience.)
- Basic scanning skills with understanding of sonographic physics and techniques.
- Knowledge of anatomy and pathology with ability to recognize normal from abnormal findings.
- Experience with Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10 preferred.
- Familiarity with Allscripts EMR and InteleRad PACS preferred.
- BLS certification required.
- RDMS credential required.
- NH MIRT licensure required.
- At least one year of hands-on ultrasound experience required; two years preferred.
- Preferred: RVT, OB-GYN, or AB certifications; experience in the OR and with ultrasound-guided procedures; one year of additional clinical experience beyond entry-level education.
Assignment Details
- Facility type: Outpatient radiology department within an acute-care hospital campus.
- Shift: Nights.
- Shift hours: 1900-0700.
- Weekend coverage: Position covers weekend nights as part of schedule.
- Typical patient population: pediatric to geriatric.
- Equipment used: Siemens Acuson S200 and GE Logiq E10.
- EMR/PACS: Allscripts and InteleRad.
- Floating: Opportunities for extra shifts within the department; may have opportunities in breast ultrasound if desired.
