Cherry Picker Operator

Xpedient is a full-service 3rd party logistics provider. We have experience helping a diverse client base in warehousing services, transportation management, supply chain management, order fulfillment and labor needs.Hourly Rate: $20Hours: 9am - 5:30pm or work completion. Summary Our Team Members operate powered industrial equipment such as Cherry Picker. Tasks loading/unloading pallets and cases, picking/staging orders, putting away pallets, and other general forklift work. Roles and Responsibilities

• Operate a cherry picker (order picker forklift) to pick, move, and store inventory at various heights
• Safely handle and transport furniture using a hand truck or dolly
• Load, unload, and stage furniture products for shipping or storage
• Conduct operations in a manner promoting safety
• Sit-down lift experiences preferred
• Minimum of 6 months of forklift and warehouse experience
• Must be super-efficient in all tasks required
• Put away inbound shipments/move product to storage locations using a forklift
• Picking cases by the each onto pallets using the powered equipment
• Prepare product for shipment ensuring the exact number and correct item is staged for loading
• Keep appropriate records and reports for inventory accuracy
• Report quality variances
• Maintain the facility's equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion
• Assist in any required physical inventories
• Complete daily inspection of equipment
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
• Ensure proper stock rotation
• Satisfactory completion of a forklift training program
• Comply with all OSHA and MSDS standards
• Ability to read, understand and follow instructions, and to code applicable document

Qualifications Must be able to pass Forklift Driving Skills testThis position requires lifting cases weighing from 20-45 pounds repeatedly throughout a long work period18 years or olderWorking in a high-speed manufacturing environment (e.g., team-oriented, deadline driven, high performance demands, fast-paced, etc.)Driving a forklift (e.g., performing basic operations such as driving forwards, driving backwards, lifting and lowering boom, maneuvering in tight areas without damaging product, etc.)Working with racking systems and loading/unloading pallets (e.g., pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks, maximizing storage by stacking products vertically, etc.)Working with standards of operation (e.g., OSHA requirements on minimum/maximum speeds, signaling, putting products in appropriate areas, etc.) Safety: Observe and follow health and safety regulations Enforces operating instructions and safety policies.Assist management in establishing warehouse standards and proceduresMaintain detailed records of safety incidentsAssign designated safety personnelMaintain warehouse in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
