Are you ready to apply your expertise as a Cath Lab Technologist in Santa Fe, NM. Join a hospital-based catheterization laboratory team and perform diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. You will assist physicians, operate imaging equipment, and obtain diagnostic-quality images for interpretation while providing patient care throughout procedures.

What You'll Need:

  • ARRT certified Radiologic Technologist. New Mexico state licensure required.
  • Certification issued by ARRT applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI or VI), or RCIS certification.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association required.
  • One year radiologic experience required. One year interventional or cath lab experience preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent education.
  • Thorough knowledge of radiographic equipment, cardiovascular anatomy and physiology, radiographic positioning, and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.

Minimum Requirements (Client Specific)

  • ARRT certification and New Mexico license are required.
  • Certification specific to cardiac/vascular intervention (CV, CI, VI) or RCIS required or equivalent.
  • BLS and ACLS (AHA) required.
  • Minimum one year radiologic experience required. One year interventional/Cath Lab experience preferred.

Assignment Details

  • Facility type: Hospital.
  • Shift: Days.
  • Shift hours: 07:00 - 17:30.
  • Weekend requirement: Yes.
  • On-call requirement: 10 out of 12 days per month, includes weekends.
  • Must be able to lift, position, push and transfer patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs.
  • May be exposed to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, and ionizing radiation.

Position Summary

Performs diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians. Provides patient care while obtaining diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by a radiologist or cardiologist. Reports to Cath Lab Manager. Work environment includes a clean, ventilated setting with potential for stressful professional relationships and variable schedules due to emergencies. Flexibility required for unexpected schedule changes.
