• The role of the (non-critical) Float Pool Registered Nurse is to perform patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director of the department to which the RN is assigned for his or her shift.
• The Float Registered Nurse provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, and in support of the mission of Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
• The Registered Nurse in the Float Pool position provides care for acutely ill patient in units as determined by the Float Pool agreement.
• SCHEDULE: PRN (6 12-hr shifts in a 4 week schedule including 3 weekend shifts)

• Graduate from accredited school of nursing with either an AND or BSN degree.
• Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
• BLS required upon hire. ACLS required within 2 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years acute care experience in areas of Med Surg, Telemetry, Ortho, Inpatient Rehabilitation.

Overland Park Regional Medical Center is a 340+ bed facility offering acute medical services to our patients. We are Johnson Countys only Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Level II Trauma Center. We have an Accredited Stroke and Chest Pain Center. Our hospital is a premier area destination for Women's & Childrens healthcare services. We offer the regions only Maternal Fetal Health Center to care for critically ill mothers and their babies. Our hospital has an antepartum unit, a labor and delivery unit, and a Level III NICU.
