Job Title: Project/Program Manager IV

Job Description

The Project/Program Manager IV is responsible for the coordination and successful completion of projects and programs. This role involves overseeing all aspects of assigned projects, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring project progress. The manager prepares reports for upper management to provide updates on project status. This position requires a bachelor's degree and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area. The candidate should be familiar with a variety of concepts, practices, and procedures within the field and should rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the deployment of automation projects, network optimization projects, process engineering initiatives, and respond to requests from operational leaders.
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor project progress.
  • Prepare status reports for upper management.
  • Lead and direct the work of team members.
  • Hold vendors accountable and ensure proper installation of automation and MHE equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams in operational warehouses.
  • Identify gaps in standards and implement solutions.

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in project/program management or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • PMP certification.
  • Strong understanding of program management, project management, and vendor management.
  • Experience in 3rd party vendor communication.
  • Proficiency in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with automation, MHE, material handling, and testing.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of engineering background.
  • 3-5 years of project management experience.
  • Ability to manage interpersonal conflicts.
  • Quick learner with the ability to identify gaps in standards.

Work Environment

This role requires 100% travel to work site locations, with travel typically occurring from Monday to Friday, both locally and across the country. The Project/Program Manager will work with regional teams to complete multiple automation installation projects. The work environment involves heavy tracking, project management, technology utilization, and communication.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
