LPN: A care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of primarily elderly patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the environment/instrumentation, and other health care team members. Works both cooperatively and independently, to work efficiently under stress.RN: Responsible for organizing and providing care to residents through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. Education Qualifications:
LPN: Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing.
Licensure/Certification Qualifications:LPN:
Current Minnesota licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
BLS / CPR certification required within 6 months of hire.
RN:
Current RN licensure in appropriate state(s) of employment.
BLS certification within 1 month.
