We are currently looking for a Program Manager - Our Driving Concern (OH) to join us in our mission to save lives and prevent injuries.
Position Highlights:
The Program Manager leads the Our Driving Concern (ODC) employer traffic safety program in Ohio, a grant-funded initiative focused on preventing crashes and saving lives through employer-based education. This role is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with employers and community partners, delivering engaging in-person and virtual trainings, and driving program performance aligned with state highway safety priorities.
While the Our Driving Concern program is established and currently operating in multiple states, this role supports its expansion into Ohio and will focus heavily on building employer participation from the ground up. The Program Manager will play a key role in establishing partnerships, expanding outreach, and growing program adoption throughout the state.
The position is highly external-facing and requires strong presentation and facilitation skills, as well as the ability to confidently engage employers and stakeholders. Success in this role is driven by the ability to proactively identify opportunities, build relationships, and consistently drive outreach and training activity to achieve program goals.
The Program Manager works in close coordination with a Program Coordinator, who supports grant administration and compliance processes, while the Program Manager provides the programmatic input and execution needed to meet performance goals. This role requires the ability to balance outreach, training delivery, and performance tracking in a fast-paced, remote environment.

What Youll Do: Employer Outreach & Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with employers, industry groups, and community partners throughout the state, with a strong focus on establishing new connections
- Lead employer recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing engagement to expand program reach
- Proactively identify and pursue new employer engagement opportunities through outreach, partnerships, and events
- Plan and deliver in-person and virtual traffic safety trainings, workshops, and presentations
- Facilitate engaging sessions that apply adult learning principles and translate traffic safety concepts into practical workplace behaviors
- Adapt delivery style and content to meet the needs of different audiences and industries
- Coordinate training logistics, materials, and participant communication to ensure successful delivery
- Take ownership of program growth by consistently building employer participation and working toward defined outreach and training targets
- Plan and manage outreach and training activities to align with program goals and timelines
- Monitor progress toward program targets and adjust approach as needed to stay on track
- Maintain accurate records of employer engagement, trainings, and program activities
- Provide timely and accurate program input to support performance tracking and required reporting
- Operate effectively in a new and evolving program environment, adjusting approach as partnerships and opportunities develop
- Partner with the Program Coordinator to support grant compliance and reporting processes
- Develop and maintain program materials, communications, and internal resources
- Serve as a liaison with employers, partners, and internal teams to support effective program delivery
- Support coordination with vendors or external partners as needed
- Support program activities across additional states as needed
- Travel throughout the state of Ohio (and occasionally out of state) to support trainings, events, and stakeholder engagement
- Bachelors degree and at least 4 years of experience in training, outreach, community engagement, safety programs, or related fields. In lieu of education, at least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Must reside in Ohio or within close proximity for the duration of employment
- Demonstrated experience delivering presentations or facilitating adult learning (in-person and/or virtual), with the ability to engage participants and drive practical application
- Experience engaging external stakeholders, such as employers, community partners, or clients
- Ability to independently plan and prioritize work in a remote environment with limited day-to-day direction
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfort working in a role that requires persistence and consistent outreach to build participation
- Comfortable tracking outreach and training activity to monitor progress toward program goals
- Proficiency with remote collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with government or grant-funded programs preferred.
- This is a remote position with 40% travel.
- Salary range - $54,000 to 68,000.
