This rural hospital operates 5-6 operating rooms providing comprehensive surgical services across multiple specialties with a collaborative anesthesia team. The facility maintains a medical direction model with 4 MDs and 3 CRNAs delivering quality patient care for community hospital cases. The hospital provides essential surgical services while excluding major cardiac and trauma cases, focusing on bread and butter procedures typical for a community setting.

The anesthesiologist will provide comprehensive anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, endoscopy, GI procedures, and required OB epidurals during structured Monday through Friday shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The position requires medical direction of CRNAs in a 1:3-4 supervision ratio while maintaining 100% hands-on involvement during call coverage. Call responsibilities include minimum 2 weekday calls and one weekend call per month with 100% hands-on coverage during call periods. The clinician will manage cases typical for a community hospital setting including regional anesthesia techniques such as epidurals, spinals, interscalene and femoral blocks while excluding major cardiac, trauma, and limiting pediatric cases to older children when applicable.
