Position Summary

The Northridge Local School District is seeking a qualified and dedicated Elementary Teacher to provide high-quality instruction and support the academic and social-emotional development of elementary students. The successful candidate will create a positive learning environment, deliver standards-based instruction, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure student success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-based instruction in core content areas, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies
• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with Ohio Learning Standards
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners
• Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining accurate and timely records
• Provide targeted interventions and enrichment opportunities as needed
• Establish and maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support students' social, emotional, and behavioral development
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Collaborate with grade-level team members, intervention specialists, and support staff
• Participate in professional development and district initiatives
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all district policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (required)
• Valid Ohio teaching license appropriate for grades K3 or 18 (or ability to obtain)
• Knowledge of best practices in elementary instruction and child development
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
