Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner - Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated, experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding Gastroenterology team. This position is primarily outpatient, offering variety and opportunities to broaden your expertise in digestive health.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients across our Gastroenterology service line, with a focus on outpatient visits
- Collaborate with Supervising Physician, GI Medical Director, and APP colleagues to create individualized treatment plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses and ongoing digestive health management
- Work alongside a high performing team of Medical Assistants
Minimum Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions Required
- Gastroenterology or Internal Medicine outpatient experience strongly preferred
- Training and familiarity in the use of EPIC (EMR) preferred
