RN Radiology PRN

As a Radiology Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for setup and assist physicians with procedures as needed (i.e., abscess drainage, biopsy, consent for invasive procedures and follow-ups, as necessary). What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will be responsible for EKG monitoring when necessary.
• You will be responsible for administering medications/blood as ordered.
• You will be responsible for start of saline locks and I.V.s according to IVP/CT protocol.
• You will be responsible for catheterization of patients in department.
• You will monitor patients receiving I.V. sedation under the direct supervision of the Radiologist.
• You will be responsible for informing the Radiologist/Technologist of any penitent changes in the patients condition.

What Qualifications You Will Need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
• Current Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• Two years of hospital experience is required.
• Basic EKG certification is required.
• IV Therapy certification is required.
• IV Medication course is required.
• American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• American Heart Association ACLS certified is required within six months of hire.
