Position Overview

Summit Skilled Solutions is seeking an OE Representative (Site Manager) to oversee an installation project for an Amazon facility. This role will serve as the on-site representative responsible for managing contractors and ensuring successful execution of an inbound conveyor system modification project.

The selected candidate will act as the primary field leader representing Amazon, coordinating multiple contractors, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring installation work stays on schedule and meets operational requirements.

This role requires a strong communicator and proactive leader who can confidently manage contractors, conduct meetings, and provide consistent project reporting.

Project Scope

The engineer will oversee three contractor teams performing an IXD Inbound Modification installation, including:

• MAT system installation

• Flex conveyor installation

• Cascading belt conveyor installation

The OE Representative will coordinate all installation activities and serve as the primary point of contact between contractors and Amazon stakeholders.

Project Timeline

Project 1 – Greenfield, IN (MQJ1 Amazon Facility)
Remote Onboarding: March 18
Onsite: March 23 – April 15

Project 2 – Fredericksburg, VA (RMN3 Amazon Facility)
April 15 – May 27

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site Amazon representative overseeing contractor installation work

• Coordinate three contractor teams performing conveyor system modifications

• Lead daily site coordination meetings and communicate project updates

• Ensure project activities remain on schedule and aligned with installation plans

• Prepare and submit daily and weekly progress reports

• Monitor contractor productivity, safety, and work quality

• Document project progress and maintain detailed project records

• Communicate effectively with internal Amazon stakeholders and contractor teams

• Identify potential project issues and implement solutions quickly

• Maintain ownership of the project schedule and ensure successful project completion

This role requires a professional who is comfortable leading discussions, managing contractors, and driving project outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Experience in project management, site management, or construction coordination

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to confidently lead meetings and manage contractors

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and documentation abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Comfortable working with technology and digital reporting tools

• Willingness to take full ownership of project success

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on industrial installation projects

• Experience coordinating multiple contractors on a jobsite

• Familiarity with material handling or conveyor systems (not required)

• Experience supporting Amazon projects or similar large-scale operations

Work Expectations

This position operates more like a project leadership role than a standard hourly position. The OE Representative is responsible for the overall success of the project and must remain available to address urgent project needs when they arise.

The successful candidate must be willing to:

• Respond to urgent calls, emails, or texts outside normal work hours if needed

• Maintain communication with contractors and leadership when project issues arise

• Take full ownership of the project schedule and installation progress

• Ensure the project stays on track and meets deadlines

This role requires someone who is proactive, responsive, and comfortable leading high-visibility projects.
