Job Overview

Amodios is seeking a hard-working and knowledgeable Yard Operations Laborer to assist with the daily operations of our landscaping materials and nursery yard. This position involves physical outdoor work, handling landscaping materials, unloading trucks, organizing nursery stock, and supporting equipment operators.

This role is ideal for someone who is physically fit, dependable, knowledgeable around landscaping materials, and comfortable performing demanding labor work in an outdoor environment. Candidates who have mechanical ability or experience with equipment may have the opportunity to assist with and eventually operate our firewood production machine.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and unloading trucks carrying mulch, topsoil, sand, gravel, compost, and other landscape materials

• Handle and organize nursery stock, including trees, shrubs, and plant material

• Perform heavy labor including moving materials, stacking products, and maintaining yard organization

• Assist with material handling and staging products for customer pickups and deliveries

• Support equipment operators during daily yard operations

• Assist with stockpile management of bulk materials

• Perform general yard cleanup and maintenance tasks

• Help maintain an organized, safe, and efficient operations yard

• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

Growth Opportunity

Applicants with mechanical knowledge and an understanding of how machinery operates may have the opportunity to assist with and operate our firewood production machine used for cutting and processing firewood. This position offers room for growth for individuals interested in learning equipment operation and production processes.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in landscaping materials, nursery stock, or yard operations preferred

• Physically fit and capable of performing heavy labor (“bull work”)

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly

• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Mechanical ability or experience working around equipment and machinery is a plus

• Experience around heavy equipment, trucks, or processing machinery is beneficial

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred

• Valid driver’s license preferred
