Neuromuscular Therapist

GA Licensed Neuromuscular Massage - Part-time, Full-time 

We are seeking a GA licensed Neuromuscular Massage Therapist to join our professional team. The ideal candidate/s will provide exceptional therapeutic massage services, focusing on patient care and pain relief. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing treatment plans, and delivering tailored massage therapies to promote relaxation, healing, and overall well-being. The position offers a unique opportunity to work within a niche non-profit ministry focused on partnering with clientele and families coming out of traumatic circumstances as well as busy professionals dedicated to promoting better health and wellness for themselves.

Responsibilities:

Identify and treat trigger points, ischemia (reduced blood flow), nerve compression, postural distortion, and biomechanical dysfunction. Apply manual techniques using fingers, knuckles, or elbows to release muscle tension and promote healing. Proficient in Sinusitis Massage. Experienced in stress management and relaxation massage. Perform professional massage therapy sessions including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy tailored to individual patient needs.

Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate individualized treatment plans and track client progress over time. Utilize knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to inform therapy techniques. Educate patients on pain management strategies and occupational health practices. Collaborate with mental health or medical professionals such as counselor or physicians for comprehensive care. Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Maintain accurate documentation of treatments and patient progress. Ensure a clean, safe, and relaxing environment for clients. Provide excellent patient service with a focus on customer satisfaction and comfort. Stay updated with the latest techniques in wellness therapies and a demonstrated commitment to acquire additional certifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Licensed massage therapist with advanced training in neuromuscular therapy (NMT). Certification from recognized institutions such as the International Academy of Neuromuscular Therapies (IANT) or programs like those offered by The Praxis Institute or AIAM. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, and biomechanics. Strong communication and diagnostic skills to assess pain patterns and educate clients on self-care and prevention. Requires Valid Georgia Massage Therapy License in good standing. Proven experience with patient service, assessment, and various massage techniques such as deep tissue and trigger point therapy. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Experience in pain management and occupational health is preferred. Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to industry standards.
