We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Safety Coordinator/Technician to lead safety initiatives at our single-site manufacturing facility. Our operations include steel cutting, bending, welding, powder coating, assembly, and warehouse logistics.
This newly created role will be hands-on and highly visible on the production floor, working closely with supervisors, engineers, HR, and frontline team members to maintain OSHA compliance and drive continuous safety improvement. This is your opportunity to make a difference, every day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct safety inspections and job hazard analyses
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis
- Develop and deliver safety training and orientation
- Maintain OSHA compliance programs
- Manage PPE, SDS, and emergency response systems
- Track safety metrics and implement improvement plans
- Coordinate audiometric and respirator programs
- Support workers' compensation case management
- Promote safety engagement initiatives and employee involvement
- Be the visible "Safety Champion" for the Company and on the floor
Successful candidates for the role of Safety Coordinator/Technician will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field
- 2-5+ years manufacturing safety experience
- Experience and success with leading training sessions and meetings
- Strong OSHA knowledge
- Experience with formal problem solving techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- OSHA 30, CSP or ASP preferred
- Bilingual/Spanish speaking highly desirable
