NonRegistered Radiology Technologist Location: American Fork Hospital
Pay Rate: $20.67 per hour
Are you currently enrolled in a radiologic technology program and ready to gain handson experience in a hospital setting? American Fork Hospital is seeking a NonRegistered Radiology Technologist who is eager to grow their skills, support patient care, and build a strong foundation toward ARRT registration.
In this role, youll perform diagnostic imaging procedures within your scope of practice , working under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist while gaining valuable clinical experience that directly supports your transition from student to registered technologist.
What Youll DoAs a NonRegistered Radiology Technologist, you will:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures within state licensure and scope of practice
- Maintain ARRT or modalityspecific competency in clinical and technical functions
- Verify patient identity and orders; prepare patients for imaging exams
- Perform exams according to department protocols and evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy
- Adhere to radiation safety standards and maintain a safe environment for patients and caregivers
- Complete studies efficiently without compromising patient care or image quality
- Educate patients, promote comfort, and address questions or concerns
- Practice proper infection control and sterile techniques
- Operate imaging equipment and related information systems effectively
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, procedures, and adverse reactions
- Follow protocols related to medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control programs, and equipment issue reporting
- Strong anatomy knowledge

- Currently enrolled in a JRCERT or AMAapproved radiologic technology program , with documented completion of required clinical and didactic training per state regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
