Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months.

Must have at least 24 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

Experience with Epic is required from any number of months.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a Iowa license or compact license (required for submission).

This role will require floating to multiple units

Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

No current placement allowed at Program: AHSA Program - UnityPoint Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:

• Must be able to comfortably/confidently read EKG/ECG including all Tele related duties/responsibilities (rhythm strips, dysrhythmia reads)
• 1st time traveler accepted with at least 2 years of Nursing experience (hospital/medical center experience will be prioritized)

Required Credentials:

• Must complete Basic Dysrhythmia Assessment; passing score of 80% during onboarding
• CPI, MOAB, MAB, SAMA

Shift & Scheduling: Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend including holiday rotation

Floating Requirements: May float to BH, ED, ICU and some post-procedural areas

7 days maximum time off

2 references from last 2 years (Any reference type) - required for submission

Drivers license required for submission

Certifications:

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) or the alternative certification MAB

NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
