Tropic Mechanical is a leading mechanical contractor specializing in complex HVAC systems for healthcare, commercial, and institutional facilities. Our projects include chilled water plants, hydronic systems, and large-scale commercial mechanical installations across South Florida.

We are expanding our field teams and looking for skilled HVAC Pipe Welders who take pride in craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform TIG, Stick, or MIG welding on HVAC piping systems
• Weld carbon steel pipe for chilled water, condenser water, and heating systems
• Interpret mechanical drawings, piping layouts, and isometric diagrams
• Work closely with pipefitters, foremen, and superintendents
• Maintain weld quality to meet project specifications and inspections
• Follow company safety standards and jobsite procedures

Qualifications

• 3+ years pipe welding experience in HVAC or mechanical construction
• Experience welding carbon steel pipe
• Ability to read construction drawings and piping layouts
• Commercial construction experience preferred
• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Preferred Certifications

• ASME Pipe Welding Certification
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
• Experience with chilled water or hydronic systems
