Associate Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a brand-new, privately owned small animal practice that opened in September 2025, and they are hiring for an Associate Veterinarian. The hospital sees cats, dogs, pocket pets, small mammals and reptiles, although they are open to a doctor who prefers to see only cats and dogs. As the only hospital in the region holding a 5-star rating to date, this practice has quickly established an exceptional reputation within the community.

Working Hours / Rota
The hospital is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 12pm. The full-time schedule is based on a four-day workweek, and the practice is open to discussing a variety of scheduling patterns to suit the right candidate. Both full-time and part-time applicants will be considered.

Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for a full scope of general practice duties, including wellness and preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, and urgent care during hospital hours. There is opportunity to perform soft-tissue surgery if desired, but doctors who prefer a non-surgery caseload are welcome to apply. The practice is open to both experienced veterinarians and new graduates, offering flexibility to tailor responsibilities in line with individual interests and experience.

Practice Details
This modern facility features four exam rooms and a large surgical suite and treatment area. The hospital is equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house IDEXX laboratories, and Neo electronic medical records. The practice provides the full scope of general practice services alongside urgent care and is open to expanding service offerings if a doctor brings experience in a specific area of interest. A FearFree philosophy is deeply embedded into the daily workflow, reflecting the clinic's commitment to patient comfort and low-stress handling.

Team
The team currently consists of one owner doctor and four support staff members, with the goal of maintaining a 3:1 staff-to-doctor ratio going forward. The environment is highly collaborative, and all staff members are FearFree certified, reinforcing the supportive and patient-focused culture within the hospital.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
