Our client is a hospital seeking a Veterinarian to join their long-established small animal practice. This community-focused hospital has been serving Central Ohio since 1960 and provides comprehensive care ranging from routine wellness and dentistry to advanced orthopedic surgery, laser therapy, ultrasound imaging, and chiropractic services. The role is suited to an experienced veterinarian who is confident in general small animal medicine and values collaborative, high-quality care within a supportive team environment.
Working Hours / Rota
The hospital operates Monday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Tuesday from 7:00am to 3:00pm, Wednesday from 7:00am to 8:00pm, Thursday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, and Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm. The clinic is closed on Saturdays and Sundays. This is a full-time position offering a balanced schedule within weekday operating hours.
Role Description and Responsibilities
The Associate Veterinarian will perform routine and complex examinations, diagnostics, treatment planning, surgeries, and dental procedures. Responsibilities include delivering wellness care, managing medical cases, performing spays and neuters as well as more advanced surgical procedures including orthopedic surgery, providing dental cleanings and extractions, interpreting diagnostic imaging, and educating clients on preventative care and long-term health strategies. The role also involves maintaining accurate medical records and supporting the practice's transition to digital workflows. The ideal candidate is skilled in general small animal medicine and surgery, committed to high standards of care, and confident in client communication and education.
Practice Details
This modern hospital features state-of-the-art digital dental and traditional radiography, a full in-house laboratory, ultrasound imaging, dedicated surgical and dental suites, and advanced surgical monitoring equipment including ECG and oxygen saturation monitors. Heated surgery tables, advanced sterilization techniques, tailored anesthetic protocols, intensive postoperative care, and comprehensive blood testing support patient safety and comfort. Services include wellness exams, vaccinations, parasite prevention and control, behavioral medicine, in-house bloodwork, ultrasound, laser therapy, dental care, orthopedic surgery, radiology, spay and neuter procedures, pain management, hospice and euthanasia services, microchipping, nutritional counseling, heartworm and tick testing, and senior pet care. The hospital emphasizes patient safety, pain management, and individualized care supported by advanced technology.
Team
The team includes two DVMs supported by experienced RVTs and skilled support staff who assist with anesthesia, dental procedures, and patient care. Candidate Requirements
- Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
- Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
- Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
