As the Vice President Corporate Procurement Americas, you will play a crucial role in driving procurement and purchasing strategies, building strong relationships with regional and local stakeholders, and leading a talented team. You will be responsible for promoting procurement as a value-driver for the business and implementing programs that have a significant impact on business results. This role also involves people management responsibilities, including talent development and hosting global category staff located within the region.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the procurement function in the Americas region.
- Lead the purchasing (P2P - Procure to Pay) function and process in the Americas
- Promote procurement as a strategic value-driver for the business, focusing on Total Value of Ownership (TVO).
- Define procurement strategies based on business requirements for the relevant geographical scope.
- Implement strategies that have short to long-term impact on business results, aligned with global category and functional objectives.
- Drive regional supply base-related market intelligence and benchmarking, and introduce procurement incubator enablers for success.
- Insure high quality and timeliness of purchasing services, lead the management, operations & compliance rigor of the purchasing shared service process.
- Interface for Accounting Teams and the Purchasing users in each country and in the region
- Be responsible for critical and key KPI to include control spend, processing accuracy, quality & productivity improvements
- Ensure regulatory and internal compliance Company policies
- Provide leadership and subject matter expertise for digitalization and data improvements
- Monitor & evaluate service levels and approve any action plans resulting from critical service performance failures
- Implement tools/automation/AI related changes, improve processes and data transparency within the organization in the Americas.
- Ensure a world-class supply base through supplier selection, standardization, negotiation, and contracting, as well as supplier performance rating.
- Act as an ambassador of the Procurement Transformation Masterplan and drive local change management and deployment.
- Develop strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with senior DHL business leaders.
- Influence others across DHL and externally as a recognized thought leader representing the Group.
- Provide people leadership and development through effective communication, engagement meetings, talent reviews, mentoring, coaching, and training programs.
Scope & Portfolio:
- Addressable scope - approximately 3 billion EUR spend estimation for 2025.
- Managed Categories as Fleet, Temp Labour, Warehouse & Sorting Equipment, Facility management/Construction/Security, Global Services; hosting procurement function for Aviation, Fuel, IT&Telecom, Transportation.
- Business Units in scope - DHL Express, DHL Global Forwarding, DHL Supply Chain, DHL e-Commerce Solutions, GBS.
- Countries in scope - subject to geographical scope assigned (32).
- FTEs - details per scope assigned (90 FTEs).
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience in Procurement Management, preferably in a complex or large project management environment.
- Strong knowledge of procurement strategies, supplier management, and leading negotiations of large volume.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Profound leadership experience, with a track record of talent development and leading diverse & remote teams.
- Fluency in English, additional language skills (Spanish or Portuguese) are a plus.
- High-quality service and communication.

- Self-driven and dynamic.
- Willingness and ability to travel minimum 30%.
