Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Process multi-state weekly and biweekly payroll
- Manage multiple timekeeping systems
- Manage payroll tax obligations which include federal tax deposits, state withholdings, garnishments, etc.
- Make necessary electronic transfers for payroll including deposit, ACH, and tax deposits.
- Audit payrolls produced by others
- Remit monthly/quarterly/annual withholding taxes timely
- Prepare quarterly payroll tax reports, file annual reports for registered states
- Administer and ensure adherence to company policies
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 5 years payroll experience in processing exempt and nonexempt payrolls of greater than 300 employees
- Experience with multiple payroll and timekeeping systems
- Experience with multi state and multi EIN employers
- Paycor experience preferred
- Prevailing wage experience preferred
- Strong Excel skills required
- Working knowledge of payroll best practices
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
