This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific eligibility requirements per VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) & eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after review of the EDRP application. Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases

Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Authorized

Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)

  • Provide comprehensive care including diagnosis, treatment, follow up, and education of Veterans with dermatologic conditions in an outpatient setting.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation and coding of visits.
  • Evaluate and triage dermatology consult requests to ensure timely care for Veterans.
  • Perform excisional or diagnostic skin biopsies and other minor dermatologic procedures, including cryotherapy, incision and drainage, and intralesional injections. Perform excisions of skin lesions, if desired.
  • Conduct telemedicine visits.
  • Review images from a store-and-forward teledermatology program to make treatment recommendations and determine urgency of face-to-face evaluations.
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned and required, such as peer reviews and online learning modules.
  • Maintain up-to-date review and correspondence within email and EHR inboxes.
  • Attend staff meetings as requested.
  • Complete CME required to maintain competency in Dermatology and medical licensure.
  • Complete mandatory VA onboarding trainings in a timely manner.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
