This position functions as a support to the patient who may need assistance with walking during rehab sessions with physical therapists and occupational therapists, keeping patient safety as the top priority. There may be some heavy lifting or heavy patient support required at times while assisting patients to stand, sit, or lie down.
Responsibilities:Functions under the direct supervision of the physical therapist, physical therapist assistant, occupational therapist, certified occupational therapist assistant, Speech Language Pathologist, nurse or wound care clinician assisting the team with rehabilitation treatment, mobility and patient care according to hospital, state, professional and federal regulations and guidelines. Responsible for the patient flow, vital signs, and materials/equipment organization within the department; and supports an environment and culture that enables the hospital to fulfill its mission by helping to provide safe, patient-centered care. Must be in good physical condition, able to lift.

- Healthcare experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nurse-Aide, or exercise specialist preferred
